Visit Blenheim Palace

Blenheim Palace, home to the Duke and Duchess of Marlborough and the birthplace of Sir Winston Churchill, is set in 2100 acres of beautiful parkland landscaped by 'Capability' Brown and surrounded by sweeping lawns, formal gardens and the magnificent lake.

For those with plenty of time to explore, we recommend taking a guided tour of the Palace State Rooms, exploring the Churchill Exhibition and the interactive 'Untold Story' experience. Visit the indoor cinema to view the 'Blenheim Palace - A Living Memory' history films and ‘Churchill’s Destiny’ exhibition in the Stables Courtyard. Spend some time strolling around and admiring the Formal Gardens and 'Capability' Brown landscape. Book onto one of our Buggy Tours or take one of our suggested walks, visible on our interactive map.

Later, catch the Miniature Train to the Pleasure Gardens and spend time in the giant Marlborough Hedge Maze, Butterfly House, ‘Blenheim Bygones’ Exhibition and the Lavender Garden.

Don't forget to visit one of our wonderful restaurants or cafés on your visit - from coffee and cake in th Oxfordshire Pantry to a sit-down lunch in the Water Terrace Café or an Afternoon Tea in the Indian Room, there is something for everyone. Before you leave take a look around our East Courtyard Shop, offering a huge selection of gifts, local produce and Blenheim Palace own ranges.

Spend that day at Blenheim Palace and then come and spend the evening relaxing at the Old Manor Cottage, Halford. Call us on 01789 740264 to check for the latest availability.
